OAU: Left-Wing Ideological Groups in war of words over Appeal Letter

The Left Organizations on OAU Campus has been in war of words in the past few days over an Appeal Letter submitted to OAU Management on the Suspension of one Omole Ibukun known as Hon IBK.

Omole Ibukun who was suspended over criminal activities pending police investigation submitted an appeal letter last two weeks and pasted the letter all round Campus.

The Pace Setters Movement views the letter as Treachery and a betrayal of the Spirit of Struggle, stating that the letters contains elements of plea which is an admittance of the Criminal acts as posited by the management and dismissed the letter as totally unnecessary and not needed so as not to sell out the student populace.

The Democratic Socialist Movement which Omole Ibukun popularly known as Hon IBK belongs to were of the opinion that the Appeal Letter was indeed needed and at a time like this is very instrumental. It stated that the Appeal was not a plea but a clarion call to review the circumstances surrounding his Suspension.

Omole Ibukun when contacted said the reason for the Apology letter was to satisfy both legal and moral standards for his reinstatement, he stated that at tines when a legal action is instituted against the school, the counsel to the school always opt for Arbitration to delay the reinstatement but that would have been taken care of with the submission and release of the Appeal letter.

Students however expressed divergent opinions on the matter, some were of the opinion that Omole Ibukun should do anything he knows how to do to ensure he is reinstated and some said the letter is not a show of weakness but civility.
