OAU’s Resumption uncertain as aggrieved Unions persist with Strike

The Federal Govt Of Nigeria had a meeting with the JAC which comprised of NASU, SSANU and NAAT on Tuesday 19th Of December 2017 to discuss way forward in reference to the sharing formulae of the Earned allowances.
The JAC fully represented told their members to continue full actions till the dialogue is completely concluded and further instructed all Branches to leave no stone unturned in the Industrial Action.

OAU is set to begin lectures on Friday 5th of January 2018. This was revealed in a release by the registrar of the University in a statement dated 2nd January. The statement read in part "On behalf of the vice chancellor, I write to welcome all the students of the university back from the end of year break and wish them all a happy new year" "In consideration of the effects of the national industrial action of non teaching staff unions in the university, lectures and other academic activities will now resume on Friday January 5th as opposed to January 3 earlier fixed by senate" As at the time of making this release men were seen cutting grasses in halls of residence and water and light has been in place.
